Conference Program

Conference Topic

ARCADESA 2020 is the fourth International Symposium on Art Craft and Design which is officially hosted by Institut Seni Indonesia Yogyakarta (Indonesia Institute of the Arts of Yogyakarta). ARCADESA 2020 is the continuation of ARCADESA (International Symposium of Art Craft and Design in South East Asia) which was organized by Institut Seni Indonesia Yogyakarta (Indonesia Institute of the Arts of Yogyakarta), Indonesia (ARCADESA1, 2017), Universiti Teknologi MARA, Malaysia (ARCADESA2, 2018), and Silpakorn University, Thailand (ARCADE 2019).

Institut Seni Indonesia Yogyakarta (ISI Yogyakarta) will be honored as the virtual-host of the 4th Art, Craft, and Design in South East Asia International Conference (ARCADESA) with the theme entitled: “Aesthetic Experience and Cultural Value: The Work of Art in the Age of Artificial Intelligence”. ARCADESA 2020 will focus on three creative fields - visual arts, craft, design, and any related creativity fields that are interlinked with the digital world and technology. The development of the art creation and the realization of artificial intelligence as the supporting elements for the inter-media arts can enrich the definition of art which have previously only been confined to the real world, now starting to manifest itself in the digital world. However, the creative art fields should also be aware of any impacts on the development of artificial intelligence. The multidisciplinary demands in the globalization era have been responded through this academic discussion which is necessary as media for socio-cultural enhancement, entrepreneurship and creativity development, and capacity building of academic environment.

ARCADESA 2020 will invite practitioners of artists, lecturers, researchers, observers, and students in the fields of arts and humanities in the era of artificial intelligence to jointly present the results of their thoughts at the conferences.
